Transportation

Transportation in Trancoso is neither the easiest nor the cheapest.

That is why staying in Quadrado is also a big plus!

• Renting a car: (already at the airport): This may be a decent option if your hotel has a parking lot - many don’t! It is important to note that roads can be bad after rain (according to Moritz and Carlotta this is when driving becomes most fun). Please be aware that in Brazil there is no such thing as drinking and driving. Not even a liquor bonbon is allowed.

• Using taxi/private driver: They are expensive in comparison to Brazilian standards but alright when compared to taxi prices in Europe. You can order a taxi through your hotel or write the driver on Whatsapp for a pickup (once you have his number after the first ride). If you are in a rush, it is better to schedule a time in advance. At Quadrado there is an official taxi stand where you will always find one.

• For the wedding day: Complimentary shuttle will be provided to transport guests from the Quadrado to the wedding venue. The ride takes around 15 minutes. Return transportation will also be available throughout the night, with vans running regularly from the venue back to Quadrado.​
