How to get there

Porto Seguro Airport is the main gateway for guests traveling to Trancoso by air and the only airport we recommend using. There are regular flights from several cities across Brazil to Porto Seguro Airport, operated by major Brazilian airlines (Gol, LATAM, and Azul).

The airport is very small, and boarding and disembarking are always done via stairs rather than jet bridges. If you have any special mobility requirements, assistance can be arranged through your airline, but we strongly recommend requesting it in advance.

The drive from Porto Seguro Airport to Trancoso takes between 40 and 100 minutes. The shorter route is possible when the ferry crossing is operating smoothly, while the longer route may be recommended depending on traffic conditions and weather.

You may choose to rent a car or arrange a private transfer. In the RSVP form, we ask guests to provide their arrival and departure flight details. If you are interested in sharing a transfer, we will do our best to connect guests with similar travel dates and schedules.

There is Uber in Porto Seguro, but not in Trancoso. That means you can call an Uber from the airport, but it is very likely that they will arrive and negotiate with you a much higher rate (not much cheaper than a private transfer) to bring you there because they have to travel back without a passenger.

To help you decide which option is best for you and your family, please read the Transportation section in the Trancoso tab.
